New York Payer Enrollment · Fidelis Care
Join Fidelis Care’s New York network without the paperwork back-and-forth. We check your NYS Medicaid and CAQH status, prepare a complete Fidelis Care application, and follow up with the plan until your participation is confirmed.

Here is the path from first call to in-network with Fidelis Care. New York requires health plans to report credentialing status within 60 days of a complete application, so most of our work happens before anything is submitted.
Already in network and need recredentialing, a new location, or a roster update? We handle that too.

Fidelis Care participation is product-specific. Before we submit anything, we confirm which plans fit your practice and patient mix, and make sure your NYS Medicaid enrollment is in place for the Medicaid-based products.
Steady Medical Billing manages the credentialing and enrollment process by reviewing provider information, preparing required documentation, and supporting payer communication through each stage.
Fidelis Care credentialing requires accurate provider, professional, and practice information. Requirements may vary by provider type, specialty, and enrollment circumstances, so each file should be reviewed individually.
Most Fidelis Care delays come from small mismatches: an expired CAQH attestation, a practice address that differs from NPPES, or a missing NYS Medicaid enrollment. Our team catches these before submission and follows up on every open request after it, so your staff can stay focused on patients.
Our team handles credentialing paperwork and payer communication, allowing your staff to focus more time on daily practice operations.
We review provider information and supporting documents to identify missing, outdated, or inconsistent details before application submission.
Our credentialing specialists organize your file according to applicable requirements, helping create a complete and properly prepared application.
We monitor credentialing progress and follow up on outstanding requests, reducing the administrative burden of repeatedly contacting the payer.
Well-prepared applications can help prevent avoidable delays, allowing providers to move through the credentialing process more efficiently.
We support ongoing credential maintenance, including updates and recredentialing requirements, helping practices keep their provider information current.

For providers, that means a large share of local patients may need you to be in network, and a clean credentialing file is what gets you there without delays.

Fidelis Care provider credentialing is the process Fidelis Care uses to verify a provider's license, education, training, board certification, malpractice coverage, and work history before the provider can see Fidelis members in network. Because Fidelis Care is a New York State health plan, it applies to providers serving New York members.
Most providers need a current New York professional license, NPI and taxonomy, an up-to-date and attested CAQH profile, malpractice insurance, a current CV with work history, board certification and DEA registration if applicable, a W-9, and practice details such as TIN and service locations. Requirements can vary by provider type and plan.
New York law requires health plans to tell providers their credentialing status within 60 days of receiving a complete application (Public Health Law §4406-d). Applications with missing or mismatched information take longer, which is why we review every file for completeness before it is submitted.

For Fidelis Care's Medicaid-based plans, yes. New York requires providers who treat, order, or refer for Medicaid members to be enrolled in the NYS Medicaid program, and Fidelis Care can deny payment to unenrolled providers. We check your enrollment status before your Fidelis application goes in.
